Chinook bycatch numbers on the rise in the Bering Sea

An increasing number of king salmon are being harvested as bycatch by Bering Sea pollock trawlers. The pollock fishing industry insists that it is doing everything it can to avoid the salmon, and no one has a solid explanation for why the bycatch levels are rising.
