UPDATED 12 JAN 2009: Reader “Caitlyn Antrim” pointed out that our original headline (“President Bush signs new Arctic policy into law”) was incorrect. We’ve edited both the headline and the lede to reflect the correct interpretation — it’s a directive or a policy of the Executive branch, not a law set forth by the Legislative branch of government. We are unable to easily edit the underlying audio. Thank you Caitlyn!
