Sitka Works To Reduce CO2 Emissions

Sitka hopes to reduce it’s CO2 emissions twenty five percent by 2020. The assembly passed a resolution Tuesday night that will try to reach that goal. Sitka’s CO2 emissions are about half what most US cities emit, and on par with Norway’s per capita emissions, according to information given to the assembly Tuesday by members of the Climate Action Task Force.
