Assembly keeps bridge; drops status

Last night the Anchorage assembly unanimously backed reducing the priority of the Knik Arm Bridge project. The decision was a compromise between those who want the bridge to keep its top ranking and others who want the projected stopped.

  • Anchorage Assembly Resolution (PDF) NOTE: The resolution was amended with the phrase, “It is not the intent of this resolution to delete the Knik Arm Bridge and Toll Authority for the Long Range Transportation Plan” despite the title of the resolution.
