Cook Inlet PlatformsHometown, Alaska explores the possibility Anchorage could run out of natural gas this winter. Experts say it could happen if equipment failed during a cold snap. If it does, electrical utilities could begin rolling blackouts, and residents could be asked to turn down their heat and hot water. If that doesn’t work, the worst case scenario could be disastrous. We’ll talk about how to prepare for a shortage, and how the problem could be solved.
