Providence Medical Center to Host Hanukkah Celebration

This evening is the fourth night of Hanukkah, the Jewish festival of Lights. It’s an observance that’s thousands of years old, but in Anchorage the Hanukkah celebration is marking a local first.

The Hanukkah Celebration at Providence Alaska Medical Center takes place at the first floor chapel on Wednesday, the fifth night of Hanukkah. The one hour observance begins at 4:30 p.m and includes, Menorah lighting and blessing by Rabbi Michael Oblath, Temple Beth Shalom Choir, readings for Hanukkah and Dreidles for the children. Everyone is welcome.
