Lance Mackey was the first out of Koyuk today – just a couple of minutes before 6 a.m. – with 12 dogs.
Jeff King was still in Koyuk with 13 dogs when Mackey left. Hans Gatt – with 12 dogs – reached Koyuk about an hour after King.
