Parnell Happy With Results of His First Session

Governor Parnell said he was  happy with the results of the first session since he was sworn into office.   He credits a good working relationship he developed with legislators to get his economic agenda into law, his domestic violence package of legislation, and his deferred maintenance plan.

He’s also happy with legislation that will put his merit-based scholarship in the books – even though lawmakers balked at the four hundred million dollar endowment he wanted to keep it going in perpetuity.

Parnell has said often during the past few weeks that the legislature went overboard with the Capital Projects budget.  He indicated some vetoes can be expected.
