Fairbanks, Valdez Accept Departure of North Slope from Gas Authority

The Fairbanks North Star Borough and the city of Valdez have accepted the North Slope Borough’s withdrawal from the Alaska Gas Line Port Authority.  The Fairbanks Assembly passed an ordinance at its meeting last Thursday formally acknowledging the North Slope decision to drop out of the public group formed by voters to pursue a gas pipeline.
