Dispute Leads to Deadly Beating

Steve Heimel, APRN – Anchorage

Some sort of dispute among some Eagle River men in their early twenties resulted in a deadly beating.  Two are in custody, another is sought.  The body of Charley Albright was found dumped along a river near town Tuesday night.

Police say he and Carl Leedom were both staying at the home of Kenneth Upton when Leedom decided to invite another young man over and they beat Albright up.  At some point, Upton woke up and also joined in the fatal beating.  Upton is still being sought.  Leedom and Philip Floor are in custody.
