Fallen Hoonah Officers Begin Trip to Memorial Ceremony

Steve Heimel, APRN – Anchorage

Today the bodies of the two Alaska lawmen killed in an ambush last week in Hoonah will begin their trip to a memorial ceremony, and they will be honored along the way.  The remains of Hoonah police officers Tony Wallace and Matt Tokuoka will be escorted by motorcade through Anchorage to the airport and a police vigil will take place overnight in Juneau.    Tomorrow an honor guard will escort the remains on the ferry trip to Hoonah and a service at the high school.
