Fire Damages Glennallen Hotel

Associated Press

State fire officials are investigating a blaze that destroyed part of a hotel in Glennallen.

Alaska State Troopers say the fire broke out Saturday morning in an annex of the Caribou Hotel.

Eight rooms in the annex were occupied. One person was treated for smoke inhalation but all other guests escaped injury.

Fire departments from Gakona, Kenny Lake, Valdez, Glen-Rich and Denali National Park responded and kept the fire from spreading to the rest of the buildings.
