Miller Files Complaint With Federal Elections Commission

Steve Heimel, APRN – Anchorage

U.S.  Senate candidate Joe Miller has filed a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission over an organization of Native corporations that is supporting Lisa Murkowski’s write-in campaign.  The complaint says the Native corporations should not be allowed to spend money on campaigns because they have subsidiaries that have contracts with the federal government.   It’s somewhat of a gray area in campaign finance regulation right now.  Alaskans Standing Together is an independent campaign organization with no tie to the Murkowski organization.
