Keystone Center Presenting 'Responsible Mining'

The company that wants to develop a huge mine above Lake Illiamna has hired a consulting firm to present the idea of what they call “responsible mining” to the public.  There will be a series of meetings.  At some point in the future, the company would present its plan for the Pebble Mine, and there would be a final meeting to discuss it.  The first meeting will be at the University of Alaska-Anchorage.   Mike Mason of member station KDLG tells us more from Dillingham, which is located in the affected area.
