School Board Proposed Bonds Total About $81 Million

Last night the Anchorage School Board approved three bond propositions for next April’s municipal election. That was one bond more than originally proposed to the board, but with a reduced cost of approximately 20 million dollars.

The Anchorage School Board formally considers its spring bond propositions over two meetings spread one week apart. After last week’s public hearing and discussion, School Superintendent Carol Comeau and her staff shape a recommendation for the second meeting.
