Fires in Anchorage, Bristol Bay Claim Two Lives

Fatal fires have taken two lives across the state. In South Anchorage, at trailer fire took the life of Roger Ranch, a retired medic well known in Native Health circles. Ranch was pulled from the trailer by firefighters, but died later in the hospital.

In Ekwok, in the Bristol Bay area, a fire consumed the home of Robert and Juanita Nelson. Juanita perished in that blaze. Robert was the one who got out and reported the fire.
