Foreign Ships Take Shelter in Aleutians

The Coast Guard reports that no less than five foreign shipping vessels took shelter in the Aleutian Islands over the weekend, as stormy weather churned up the Bering Sea.  Two vessels sheltered leeward of Attu,  two more at Atka, and one at Adak.   They say so far this winter they have had ten such requests from foreign shipping vessels using the Great Circle route.
