Man Refuses to Testify in Waterman Trial

Ellen Lockyer, KSKA – Anchorage

Jason Arrant, now in prison for the 2004 murder of Craig’s Lauri Waterman,  has refused to testify in the current trail going on now in Anchorage,  against his former girlfriend Rachelle Waterman.  So, Thursday, jurors heard recordings of Arrant’s testimony in the 2006 trial against her that ended with a hung jury.

Now the state is re-trying Rachelle Waterman for complicity in the murder of her mother.  Under questioning by defense attorney Steven Wells in 2006,  Arrant said Rachelle Waterman told him her mother was abusive towards her and she wanted her mother dead.
