A rural teacher has been accused of an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student under the age of 18.
Alaska State Troopers say 26-year-old Sheree Buchanan of Kiana is charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a minor.
She was arrested Monday night at the Kotzebue Airport as she traveled back from Anchorage. Troopers say the school principal alerted them to a possible inappropriate sexual relationship.
Troopers say Buchanan acknowledged the relationship .
Buchanan was transported to the Kotzebue Regional Jail and held without bail. She has a public defender.
