Labor, Commerce Committee Approves Tax Credits for Film Productions

The Senate Labor and Commerce committee has approved legislation giving tax credits for film productions in Alaska.

After hearing testimony from workers  involved in show business, the panel moved the measure to the Senate Finance Committee.

The bill, proposed by Democratic Sen. Johnny Ellis of Anchorage, would offer up to $200 million in tax credits for film productions over the next 10 years.
