3A, 4A Tournaments Wrap Up in Anchorage

The 3A and 4A basketball championships finished up Saturday evening at in Anchorage.

Barrow took the top spot in the 3A girls’ bracket, beating Kotzebue 58 to 31, completing an undefeated season.

ACS took the boys 3A crown, with a 49 to 44 comeback win against Monroe Catholic.

In a rematch of last year’s 4A girls’ championship game, Wasilla took the state title from reigning champion Juneau-Douglas, winning 36 to 30.

Finishing off the 4A tournament, as well as A-S-A-A March Madness Alaska, the Bartlett boys defeated West Anchorage 79 to 75.
