Two Boats Sink in Prince William Sound Area

Two fishing boats have sunk in the Prince William Sound area in the past few days, but nobody has mentioned seeing oil slicks.  The 36-foot Ice Maiden capsized outside of Valdez Narrows over the weekend while seining salmon.  Four crew members were rescued and salvage efforts continue.  There were about 250 gallons of fuel aboard.

Wednesday, the 57-foot Copasetic sank near Cape Puget, on the outer coast between Resurrection Bay and Montague Strait.  Four were rescued by the crew of another vessel.  No word yet on how much fuel was aboard the Copasetic.
