Coast Guard Tows Distressed Boat to Valdez

The Coast Guard had a busy Saturday in Prince William Sound.  The Patrol vessel Long Island towed a pleasure craft with engine trouble from Knight Island Passage to Port Valdez.  The 60-foot boat was taking on water when it sent out a distress call.  Then another pleasure craft got fouled in a fishing net.  That vessel, the 32-foot Naughty Flier, was cut free by a diver from a passing water taxi and headed back to Whittier.
