Pilot Missing After Douglas Island Plane Crash

A single engine plane crashed on Douglas Island near Juneau, on a cliff near the Eagle Crest ski resort.  A search continues for the pilot, but parts of the plane have been found.  The plane, a Cessna 182, was en route from Hoonah to Juneau when it crashed early Sunday.

Searchers were unable to climb to the crash area Sunday.  A Coast Guard helicopter is expected to join Alaska State Troopers on the search Monday.
