Seward Highway Collision Kills One

A head-on collision between two pickup trucks Saturday on the Seward Highway outside of Girdwood killed a Kasilof man.  James Ries, 66, was headed south.  A northbound pickup driven by Ronnie Allen, 53,  of Anchorage reportedly crossed the center line.  Allen was hospitalized with serous injuries.  Two people in Ries’s pickup were also injured and hospitalized – one was a nine-year-old girl whose name was not released, and the other was Supaporn Ries, 28.
