KAKM, Channel 7 television, is pleased to continue bringing quality programming to your home. In this month’s primetime lineup you will find new programming as well as some of your old favorites.

CONVERSATIONS THAT MATTER: TEEN SUICIDE IN ALASKA – Recorded at KAKM studios, Iditarod champion John Baker joins Kate Burkhart, Executive Director of Alaska State Suicide Prevention Council, Teressa Baldwin, youth member of the council, and Amanda Murdock of Southcentral Foundation’s Dee’na Yeets Program to discuss an issue that affects nearly every Alaskan. The program features a scene from the play, “Winter Bear.”

Smokin’ Fish: Cory Mann, a young Tlingit, makes a pilgrimage to his ancestral home and is forced to confront the dichotomy between his history and the world he lives in. His personal life story parallels his culture’s disintegration and struggle to revitalize itself.
