Native Village of Ekuk Releases Study of Using a Fish Tax to Finance a Borough in Bristol Bay Area

A tribal organization in the Bristol Bay area has released a new study on the idea of forming a borough. Boroughs have been rejected in the past, and the city of Dillingham is proposing a fish tax to meet city expenses associated with the fishing industry. The study looks into using a fish tax to support a borough, whether or not the city tax is not approved by the voters.
