Dating & the Family

DATING & THE FAMILY

Looking for love, companionship and a life partner means dating – for better or for worse. So this time on Kids These Days! we’re exploring what happens when mom or dad start dating again after a divorce or death of a spouse, and we’ll also turn an eye to teens and dating – what are the rules and how can caregivers encourage romantic exploration so that young people can learn how to pursue healthy relationships with appropriate partners. Our guests are Ashley Barrera, a marriage and family therapist who’s engaged to a (f0rmerly) single dad, and Kyle Bradford, a divorced dad of two who blogs all about this topic at ChopperPapa.com.

PLUS, an interview with Alaska’s most famous matchmaker, Susie Carter, the editor of Alaska Men magazine on what she has learned about people looking for love over the decades; a roundtable discussion with teens on how the kids these days are doing relationships (or not); and a KTDontheGO all about date night for Alaskan parents!
