As of Tuesday night, six Matanuska-Susitna Borough roads were closed due to flooding.

According to a Borough press release, up to 10 homes or cabins in the Willow area are either flooded or surrounded by water.

In the Houston area, as of 9 p.m. yesterday, one home was at risk of flooding, and two more are near the rising water.

Forecasters expect the rivers and creeks in the area to crest by 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The Mat-Su Borough activated an Emergency Operations Center on Tuesday afternoon.
