The Anchorage Police Department has released the names of the officers involved in last week’s fatal shooting. Officers Cole Grigg and Bart Filipowicz both fired on 23-year-old Benjamin Zekovic after he advanced on them while throwing weapons. The incident took place after a robbery at Home Depot in East Anchorage. Both officers were put on a 4-day administrative leave after the July 12th incident.
