Patterson, Marvin retain Crow Pass Crossing crowns

Scott Patterson and Christy Marvin defended their titles over the weekend in the 32nd annual Crow Pass Crossing.

This is Patterson’s fourth title in five years in the men’s race.

He crossed the finish line in 2 hours, 58 minutes and 26.9 seconds – defeating another notable Alaska runner Eric Strabel by more than 4 minutes.

Marvin became the fourth, 3-time champion in the history of the women’s race, finishing in 3 hours, 29 minutes and 32.6 seconds.

The race runs about 24 miles along the Crow Pass Trail – near Girdwood – to the Eagle River Nature Center.

The race is produced by the University of Alaska Anchorage.
