Debate for the State: U.S. Senate, U.S. House, Governor, and Lt. Governor

U.S. House candidates took the stage Thursday night for one of the last live debates of the election season. They were followed by U.S. Senate candidates Mark Begich, D, and Dan Sullivan, R, on the second night of Alaska Public Media’s Debate for the State program.

Candidates for governor and lieutenant governor took the stage Wednesday night for one of the last live debates of election season. Lieutenant governor candidates Byron Mallott and Dan Sullivan debated first, with gubernatorial candidates incumbent Sean Parnell and Bill Walker to follow.

APRN reporters Alexandra Gutierrez and Ben Matheson asked candidates about a variety of topics – from medicare expansion to the sanctioning of the Alaska Unity ticket – while APRN news director Lori Townsend moderated.
