The community is located on a small island in the Bering Sea where there are many more fur seals than people. Aqualina Lestinkof lives on St. Paul island.

This week, were going north to Point Hope. The community of about 800 people on the Chukchi Sea is anxiously waiting for the right conditions to begin spring whaling. Steve Oomittuk is the mayor of Point Hope.

This week, we’re headed for Eek a small village west of Bethel near the Bering Sea Coast: Fritz Petluska is the City Clerk for Eek. 300 villages is AK’s attempt to put every community in Alaska on the radio.
