Slavik Boyechko

Digital Media Director

Before APTI, Slavik fundraised at the American Red Cross and the Boys & Girls Club. Outside of fundraising, he’s pursued web development, filmmaking, and graphic media, and luckily he can incorporate all of these interests into his job at Alaska Public Media. He has a Bachelor’s degree in English from Portland State University, where he graduate Summa Cum Laude.

Slavik got into public broadcasting because one of the job requirements is to watch and listen to Alaska Public Media regularly. Before his employment here, Slavik volunteered with the KAKM and KSKA pledge drives for a few years, answering phones, running the teleprompter, training other volunteers. When his previous position of Membership Manager opened up, it was like a homecoming.
