Property Tax Relief Task Force begins rating tax alternatives

46% of Anchorage’s operating budget comes from property taxes. That’s down slightly from previous years, but hardly enough to keep the municipality and city property owners from looking for alternative sources of revenue. Spearheading that effort is the Property Tax Relief Task Force. KSKA’s Len Anderson attended its last meeting.
