Off Mic: Where's Connie?

Constance Huff will be Off Mic through September 18 attending the National Federation of Press Women conference in Idaho Falls. She recently became president of the Alaska chapter, Alaska Professional Communicators. Many of the award-winning entries in our state communications contest have gone on to win award in the national competition. They will be presented in Idaho. While she’s gone, enjoy European Jazz Stage and Blues Before Sunrise tonight on Night Music. Thanks for listening and for supporting KSKA.

Constance Graffis Huff has served as KSKA’s Director of Operations since 1993 adding Assistant Program Director duties in 1995. Once the program director decides on the program schedule, Connie is responsible for the on-air logs for the station along with promotion and numerous duties assisting the program director.

On-air you hear her anchoring All Things Considered and on the jazz show Night Music every other Saturday night at 8.

Since coming to KSKA in October 1987 as a volunteer board operator and then jazz producer, Connie got her B.A. in Journalism and Public Communications from UAA in 1990. She was hired at KSKA in 1992 as assistant operations director and music director.

Connie arrived in Anchorage from southern California in 1983. She lives with her husband Richard Huff and their two golden retrievers.
