The White House asks Pipeline Coordinator to Resign

Federal gas pipeline coordinator Drue Pearce resigned her position this morning (Monday) at the request of the White House. Pearce opened the office for the Bush administration in 2006. In her letter of resignation to President Obama, Pearce reminded him of the importance of Alaska’s gas – saying it is “essential to the nation’s energy and economic security.” The White House released a statement thanking Pearce for her
