Plane Crash on Susitna River Claims Two Lives

Steve Heimel, APRN – Anchorage

There has been another fatal plane crash.  Tuesday night a single-engine plane with two people aboard crashed into a gravel bar on the Susitna River.  The plane burned.  There has not yet been an official identification of the victims, but the plane was registered to Brandon Reiley, 28, of Anchorage.  He is said to have been planning a trip to Rainy Pass Lodge at the time of the crash, and might have been looking at hunting opportunities at the time of the crash, which is under investigation.
