Ending weeks of speculation, Senator Lisa Murkowski announced her plans to run as a write-in candidate after conceding to Republican candidate Joe Miller in the primary election.
“To hell with politics, let’s do what’s right for Alaska,” Murkowski said, paraphrasing the late Senator Ted Stevens.
Murkowski supporters rallied around her in Anchorage Friday as she addressed the public at the Dena’ina Convention Center. KSKA’s Ellen Lockyer was there.
