Homeless Families To Receive Increased Attention

This week Anchorage’s first single digit cold spell filled the Brother Francis Shelter to overflowing with as many as 200 people spending the night and another 80 some sleeping at the adjacent food kitchen, Bean’s Cafe. Their plight provided a powerful back drop to a three day meeting also going on at the same time – the annual conference of the Alaska Coalition on Housing and Homelessness.
