State Continues Monitoring Damaged Japanese Reactor Situation

According to a March 15 joint press release from the Governor’s Office, the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and the Department of Health and Social Services, the state of Alaska is continuing to monitor the situation in Japan regarding their nuclear reactors.

Although the situation surrounding in Fukushima Dai-ichi remains grave, there is still no immediate or anticipated health threat in Alaska.
