National Oceans Council Takes Arctic into Account

The Obama Administration’s new National Oceans Council had listening sessions earlier this month in Barrow.  The Council is designed to co-ordinate a new national ocean policy between the various federal agencies that have jurisdiction.  Deputy Assistant Interior Secretary Eileen Sobeck says clearly Alaska is the place where ocean policies reach the Arctic.
