Native Corporations Meeting in Anchorage

Native corporations that form partnerships for government contracts are meeting Wednesday in Anchorage, and among the speakers they have attracted is Marie Johns, the Deputy Administrator of the Small Business Association. Johns will be doing a tribal consultation Thursday.

The SBA is beginning to shrink the loopholes in Chapter 8(a) of the Small Business Act that allow no-bid, no-ceiling federal contracts for partnerships the Native corporations form.
