Parnell Signs Bill to Study Susitna River Hydro Potential

Thursday, Governor Sean Parnell signed a bill to spend more than $65 million studying a potential hydroelectric project on the Susitna River north of Talkeetna.  The Watana hydroelectric project would help reach the goal of 50 percent of the state’s power generated by renewable resources by 2025.
