Alaska, Washington Fund Study of Steller Sea Lion Federal Protection Measures

The state governments of Alaska and Washington have jointly funded a study critical of federal measures to protect Steller Sea Lions in the Western Aleutians under the Endangered Species Act. In ESA cases, the burden of proof rests on those trying to lift restrictions, and this study struggles mightily to lift that burden.
