Sport Charter Halibut Catch Drops Dramatically

The state Fish and Game Department reports the Southeast sports charter fleet Halibut catch dropped dramatically this season, no doubt due to severe size restrictions imposed by international and federal regulators. The catch was 390,000 pounds, about half the allocation. The number of fish caught was a little above last year.
