Troopers Investigate Death In Willow-Area Cabin

Troopers are investigating the death of a 61-year old man in a cabin about 25 miles west of Willow. Law enforcement was notified of a gunshot victim needing help at about 7:45 on Monday evening. He was transported to an Anchorage hospital where he was pronounced dead. Troopers went to the scene to investigate the situation. An autopsy revealed that the man died of a single gunshot wound. Troopers say that there is no danger to the public associated with this death, but they will not release any other details about how, why, or by whom the man was shot.
