Alaska State Troopers responded to the collision just after 7 p.m. Saturday.

Troopers say a Subaru Forrester was driving north on the highway when it crossed into the southbound lanes, hitting a van, then an SUV towing a boat.

The passenger in the Jeep sustained injuries and was transported to Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage.

Both the male passenger and female driver of the Subaru were pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say all occupants of the vehicles involved were wearing seatbelts.

The deceased are identified as Jackson Moore, age 36, and Cherise James, age 25 — both of Kasilof.

The investigation is ongoing.
