Pedestrian killed on Seward Highway south of Potter Marsh

Anchorage police are investigating the death of a pedestrian struck on the Seward Highway just south of Potter Marsh.

Just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Police took a call from the driver of a semi. The driver reported possibly striking a pedestrian near the highway truck scales.

Police found a critically injured woman along the roadway.

62-year-old Gwen Truax was transported to a hospital, where she later died.

No citations have been issued and police are continuing to investigate the collision.
