FIRST LEGO League Robotics Competition Mini-Doc

FIRST LEGO League is a robotics competition developed for upper elementary and middle school age students. Our goals are to inspire students to take an interest in science and technology and begin considering these fields as a career, while developing strong communication and leadership skills.

During the 2012-2013 season, there were 154 FIRST LEGO League teams across the state of Alaska, from small villages to our urban centers. FIRST in Alaska is operated by the STEM AK program at the Juneau Economic Development Council with major funding contributions from BP and the State of Alaska.

The Juneau Economic Development Council fosters a healthy and sustainable economic climate in Juneau and throughout Southeast Alaska. In collaboration with other organizations, the council implements initiatives to maintain, expand, and create economic opportunities.
